Financially challenging times are effecting all of us.  At the same time, it is essential to have all chapters and many sisters present at this important annual meeting of the Sorority.  Chapters and sisters are strongly encouraged to incorporate convention fundraising into calendars and fundraising plans.  Review the following convention information, resources, and costs and begin planning, budgeting, and saving!


COSTS TO CONSIDER:


  1. Average convention registration cost: $225: Your final registration costs will vary depending on which amenities you choose.  See the REGISTRATION FORM for specific costs. 


  1. Travel costs: Look for excellent travel deals on various websites.  Think about other transportation costs, such as driving, and during convention parking and transportation costs.  Carpooling/flying together is an excellent way to save money and spend valuable time with your sisters!


  1. Additional costs may be incurred depending on what you plan to do.  Consider costs if you plan on touring Philly or going to any night spots. 


PAYMENT PLAN:

The following payment plan provides attending sisters with a flexible plan for paying for the registration costs for convention.  The deadline to register for this payment plan passed on March 13.  However, additional payment plans are being issued on an individual basis.  Sisters who would like to pay in installments between now and the registration deadlines are invited to do so, as long as final payments are postmarked by the relevant due dates.  Please contact LaToya Eaves, TNX National President, to make payment arrangements as soon as possible.  Payment plans must be approved before registration can take place.

• Payment 1: $50 nonrefundable deposit, postmarked by 3/15/2009

• Payment 2:  $30, postmarked by 4/15/2009

• Payment 3:  $30, postmarked by 5/15/2009

• Payment 4:  $30, postmarked by 6/15/2009

• Payment 5:  $30, postmarked by 7/15/2009

• Final Payment:  $30, postmarked by 8/15/2009


This payment plan includes the Early Bird Registration rate ONLY.  Extra items, such as t- shirts and the GAP Lavender Luncheon, are not included and will be listed on the registration form. Refunds, minus the $50 nonrefundable deposit, can be requested through July 1, 2009.  After this time, no refunds can be made.

2009 NATIONAL CONVENTION

Convention registration is now open and Early Bird Registration is almost over... REGISTER and SAVE!

HOW TO REGISTER:

Register by completing the registration form.  Convention costs can be paid for by check, money order, or credit/debit card.  See the registration form for additional details about registration and payment options.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES:

Sisters who make or postmark their payments by May 31st will receive an early bird discount.  Regular registrations must be postmarked by July 1st.  Registration will end on August 20th.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

The standard registration fee includes quad occupancy sleeping rooms (two people per bed; four people per room) for Friday and Saturday nights, general programming, and several meals (3 meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday). Transportation and other optional activities are NOT included. Tickets to the GAP Lavender Luncheon, GAP Networking Hour, and t-shirts can be purchased in advance with your registration.  Sisters who wish to stay in rooms that are not quad occupancy will have the option of paying an additional fee to have a single or double room, as long as there is availability. Sisters may also choose a no hotel option or may buy a ticket for the banquet only.  See the registration form for more details.
